Healing Bone Broth Recipe

  • 2 pounds(approx) grass fed, hormone and antibiotic free beef bones with marrow
  • 4 organic carrots, (rough chopped)
  • 4 organic celery stalks, (rough chopped)
  • 2 organic medium onions (leave the peel on, quartered)
  • 1 head garlic, smashed with peel
  • 1 tsp Real Brand salt
  • 1 tsp peppercorns (whole)
  • 4 bay leaves
  • 1 med bunch fresh thyme
  • 1 med bunch fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1/4 cup organic extra virgin olive oil
  • 10-12 cups cold water

Directions:

  1. Place all ingredients in a 6-8 quart crock-pot.
  2. Fill with water.
  3. Turn cooker on low heat; simmer gently.
  4. Simmer for 72 hours. YES 3 days! That 3rd day is so important.
  5. Remove all solids and strain remainder into a bowl.
  6. Cool broth to room temperature and place in quart size mason jars with lids.
  7. Use within about a week. Can be frozen if liquid is placed in zip lock type freezer bag.
